My name is Kristian Rodriguez, and I am a senior at Syracuse University and member of Students for a Democratic Society on campus. For the final time, Andy Rautins surfed through the tunnel of teammates at the Carrier Dome. A five-year salute surrounded him. He waved to the crowd and met his dad, Leo, at midcourt.

Leo's wife had been crying for three days, but he had stayed strong until now.

It started out as any ordinary day. I walked down to Marshall Street to purchase my morning Starbucks. A summer living in New York City got me addicted to the heart-pumping, hand-twitching caffeine that is its iced coffee, and I can't get enough. My family once tried to intervene by filling my Starbucks cup with some Dunkin' Donuts iced coffee.

The concept of manmade global warming - the idea that global temperature is increasing as a result of the green house effect from pollutants like CO2 that come from the industrialization of society - has become widely known. But the basis for such conclusions is yet to be proven and the claim of a scientific consensus by those like Al Gore and Prime Minster Gordon Brown is unequivocally wrong.

From the east coast to the west coast, the flow of rap in the 80's to the mid 90's was immaculate. The lyrics were put out in a way where you could actually understand the clarity of what was being spoken of. There was a certain flow and it was as if they were rapping to a beat that wasn't even there. It wasn't stiff and it wasn't forced, it was very free spirited. They were also much more positive. I was born in the late 80's, but I do have a sense of what "good" music is.

Could you ever imagine never being able to taste your favorite food or even eat again?
