CAB sponsors discounted Labrador and Toggenburg Mountain season-passes

Labrador Mountain and Toggenburg Mountain will offer discount prices on season-pass tickets until Dec. 1. CAB prices for Morrisville students are $175, with the original price of $230.

Toggenburg's General Manager Jim Hickey said, "The weather looks great; we are seeing some good weather coming in from the East." Hickey said this means good business this season. "Season tickets are keeping up to sale and is looking like it will be a great season," he added.



The snow covered peaks of the Labrador Ski Lodge offers skiers promises of fresh, powdery snow encrusted slopes to bomb. Labrador Mountain and Toggenburg Mountain will offer discount prices on season-pass tickets until Dec. 1. CAB prices for Morrisville students are $175, with the original price of $230.

Labrador, located at 6935 North Rd. in Truxton, off of route 13, includes 250 acres of land, and has 22 different slopes and trails, also including their terrain park. The mountain has a base elevation of 1125 feet, a summit elevation of 1825 feet, a half pipe that is 400 feet, a vertical drop of 700 feet, and snowmaking at 90 percent. Their trails range from 34 percent easier trails, 33 percent more difficult trails, and 33 percent expert trails.

At the park they also have a ski and snowboard tuning shop, a children's center, babysitting and a national ski patrol. The ski shop is open Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. They also offer hour-and-a-half long lessons for beginners. Night lessons last one hour and take place at 5 and 6 p.m. Class prices range from $10 to $55 depending on the kind of lesson.
