Main St. Café will leave you wanting more

I ordered a philly cheese steak with onion rings, BLT, some chicken wings and Cole slaw. The anticipation overwhelmed me; people do not understand the last good meal I had was when I left home. The savory moments before I ate reminded me of Thanksgiving morning in North Carolina when you know you're about to embark on a feast and you hope that the cook has aimed to kill.
My antsy attitude was not kept waiting for long. As soon as I knew it, my food was ready. The lady behind the counter came and blessed me with the entrée that would forever change my Morrisville eating habits. My first bite into the philly cheese steak brought back memories of Crown Fried Chicken on Tompkins between Quincy and Lexington; I was home. Every bite after that was just as enjoyable as the last. It's been too long since I last ate something other than New York Pizzeria or Chinese food that was delightfully delicious, but I was in the zone and Main St Café was where it was at.
The fried chicken was well seasoned and not overbearing with flavor; you could tell it was made with love. Everything in the diner had a feel to it. It was not like I was eating at a restaurant, but rather my grandmother's kitchen. I felt right at home there. The service was perfect, I wasn't kept waiting too long and the prices were just right for a struggling college student; compared to those at the Copper Turret, it made eating affordable and fun. The whole meal came to about $12. And my friend's meal was only $9; he ordered a cheeseburger with fries, a bacon, egg, and cheese bagel and Arizona ice tea. He too, was just as pleased as I was after the food grazed his taste buds and landed in his stomach.
For dessert I had apple pie and cookies. Oh, the cookies. Soft and warm, moist with chocolate eatability, which is not a word, but was the only way I could describe the chaotic beauty the cookies caused when I ate into them. The apple pie was also a treat that should have been illegal because it was just that good. Needless to say when it was all said and done, my tummy was full and I was taken away by the café.
I will undoubtedly recommend anyone to go to the Main St Café at least once so you can experience Morrisville's best-kept secret. If you're looking for something different and are tired of the campus norms, then for a cheap, quality meal, I say you give them a try. They also take call-in orders; their number is 315-684-9000. If ever you are driving or walking down Main Street stop by and try them out. I promise you will not leave unsatisfied. Like a kid in a candy store.
