The Barge in Hamilton offers a place to relax

It's the beginning to a new semester; a chance to start off on the right foot working towards your degree. Often times you may find yourself distracted in your dorms or the library by the passing of students to and from class. If you're in the mood for some new scenery or a change of pace in your studying habits, check out the Barge Canal Coffee Co. in Hamilton, NY.
For students with vehicles or friends with vehicles, the Barge is only 10 minutes away located on 37 Lebanon Street in Hamilton. There you have the opportunity to get your work accomplished without the hustle and bustle of a college campus.
Better known as the community living room, the Barge offers a quiet place to study, free wireless access and a place to relax or meet with your study groups. The Barge sells an array of coffees, teas and cappuccinos along with sandwiches and snacks for those long hours or late-night studying. The Barge accommodates you with tables to get those big projects done or, if you're in the mood, a few couches to relax and read or study.
Not only does the Barge provide a place to unwind and concentrate, but holds events such as open-mic nights and live acoustic music on scheduled evenings. If you're looking to get off campus for a little while or venture the surrounding areas, the Barge is a great place to go. This Colgate-owned establishment opens as early as 7 AM and closes as late as 1 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. Monday through Thursday they are open until 11 PM and Sundays until 10 p.m.
